Fresh Berry Vanilla Cake

Vanilla Cake with Berries

 1 cup white sugar
 ½ cup butter
 2 eggs
 2 tsp vanilla extract
 5 ½ cups all purpose flour
 3 ¼ tsp baking powder
 1 cup millk
 Fresh raspberries and other fruit
 Store bought or homemade cream

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour a 9x9 inch pan.

In a medium bowl, cream together the sugar and butter. Beat in the eggs then stir in the vanilla.

Combine flour and baking powder, add to the creamed mixture and mix well. Stir in the milk until batter is smooth. Pour batter into a pan.

Bake for 30-40 minutes

When cool, add some raspberries and cream to the top of your cake.
