With nearly 80 years of experience in the aluminum foil container business, Handi-foil of America, Inc. is a privately owned, American manufacturer of foil containers, roll foil, and plastic dome lids. HFA, as we are commonly known, is an industry recognized as the market leader providing a complete line of foil containers and complementary accessories of the highest quality.
Change in our industry moves at an exhilarating pace and with change, opportunities arise as we adapt our business operations to better serve our customers. HFA has always been a leader when it comes to positive change in our industry, rising to the call with a firm commitment to invested resources and a creative instinct for product development. In 2019, our company was pleased to announce the opening of its newest manufacturing and manufacturing facility in Antioch, Illinois. The construction of this building began back in the late summer of 2017 with our plan to build a state-of-the-art facility, designed to deliver our products at the highest level of quality and service. Nearly 600,000 square feet of capacity was added to our system, rounding out three manufacturing locations with nearly 1.6 million square feet under the roof.
Your dedicated loyalty to our products has led to our rapid growth and our need to expand our operations. The Antioch facility boasts 70 docks, advanced automation throughout, and a strategic location in northern Illinois. While the expansion of our manufacturing capacity is exciting, our primary focus continues to be new product introductions. Most recently, we developed and launched several products that have quickly gained market acceptance. These products include our new Tru-Fit® Steam Table Pans, Handi-Stax® No-Crimp-Needed Packaging and Full Curl™ Packaging for Better Safety & Handling. These products expand an already broad offering of creative solutions introduced by HFA over the years, including Handi-Max®, Steam Savers®, JIF-Foil®, and our stylish upscale Gourmet-To-Go® sophisticated packaging line. At the end of the day, it is our unique ingenuity in product development that sets us apart and keeps our customers eagerly anticipating the next big thing out of HFA.
