Last Minute Super Bowl Party Ideas
Stick with an Easy Menu
Main Meal
When you are throwing a last-minute Super Bowl party, it makes sense to stick with a delicious but easy menu. I like to go with easy drinks and snacks as well as the main meal that is also easy to cook and easy for guests to eat.
For a party like this, pizza is always a hit! When it comes to pizza, we like to make it homemade. It tastes way better than delivery, and they are also quite easy! I recommend baking several different types of pizza, so your guests have a choice. When it comes time to bake your homemade pizza, I recommend using the Handi-Foil Pizza Crisper. Not only does it crisp up your pizza crust just right, but using this crisper also means no cleanup!
Here are some of my favorite pizza recipes that I have created for parties in the past and they were both big hits with our guests:
BBQ Chicken Pizza - This BBQ Chicken Pizza is delicious and perfect to please the pizza lovers in your group as well as the BBQ lovers too!
Cheeseburger Pizza - Can’t decide between pizza or cheeseburgers? How about both? This Cheeseburger pizza is a great way to please everyone!
Appetizers
When it comes to appetizers, I like to offer chips and dip, veggies and dip, fruit trays, etc. I like to make these the day before the party and store and serve them in the storage containers with lids. These containers are super easy to stack, and they make for very easy cleanup, which is key for me for a great party!
Decorate your Space
I love a well-decorated party, but I don’t love spending a fortune on it. I highly recommend a trip to the dollar store because it is a great place to get inexpensive decor. There will be plenty of football-themed decor available, or you can create your own football themed decor with green tablecloths and napkins.
Create a Fun Display of Your Menu
For a fun, decorative addition to your party can be a fun display menu. I like the idea of creating one with a blackboard. Draw out a football field, or a large outline of a football and write out the menu inside of those borders.
The menu can be hung on the wall above the food table, or displayed on the table. Menus like this always get lots of attention from guests.
Provide Labels for Cups
To not run out of cups, and to prevent yourself from having to wash too many dishes, it’s a good idea to grab some name tag labels to put on the cups. With labels on cups, everyone will be able to keep track of their drinks easily.
Reminders for Your Super Bowl Party
A couple of things to remember before your Super Bowl party:Make sure you are able to stream the game
Be sure to double-check that your TV will stream the game. You don’t want to have everyone ready to watch the big game only to discover that you can’t. If you don’t have typical cable or satellite service, several streaming services will offer the game. Just be sure to sign up for these several days in advance, so there is no delay.Make sure you have enough seating for all of your guests.
Be sure to get a headcount of those coming over and check to make sure that you are going to have enough seating for each person. If you don’t have enough seats in the house, consider bringing in outdoor chairs that you may have, or perhaps buy a couple of fold-out chairs for the occasion. Another great seating option is to toss throw pillows on the floor for your guests to sit on.
Even if your party-planning is the last minute, don’t worry! Between your delicious menu and the tips mentioned above, your party should be quite easy to plan, you and your guests are going to have so much fun!
