I don’t know about you, but we find that we are always looking for tips and tricks to make any event that we host easier and more successful. If you are feeling this way about your summertime backyard BBQ, we have got just the tips you need!
Backyard BBQ Tips to Make Yours The Best BBQ of the Summer
Stick with Basic Recipes
One thing we have always found is that people have different tastes, as well as food allergies, etc.. Not only can it get exhausting making a bunch of different recipes, but you just never know who can or will eat them. We have found that it’s better to have several staple recipes (BBQ Chicken, Burgers, Hot Dogs, etc.) and let your guests add their sauces and toppings.
Use Handi-Foil BBQ Basics Products
One of the least fun things about backyard BBQs and parties, in general, is the mess that they make. To avoid the mess, we always use Handi Foil BBQ Basics products to minimize the cleanup and make cooking a breeze. Several different styles and sizes of BBQ Basics containers will accommodate even the most ambitious recipe! Here are some of our favorite BBQ foods and the Handi-Foil Product that goes best with them:
Grilled Veggies – Grill Sheets are great for making grilled veggies. We love using the grill sheets because the vegetables taste crunchy and delicious still, but you don’t have to worry about them falling through the grill. We don’t use a specific recipe for our grilled veggies. Instead, we switch up the spices and sauces often, and they always turn out great.
Pork Tenderloin – This pork tenderloin cooks great in the BBQ King Grill Pan. We typically prepare it on the top rack of the grill, but you can use the bottom rack if you keep your heat low enough.
Chicken Kabobs – Use the BBQ King Grill Pan to make these kabobs, and they will turn out great.
Cold Drinks to Stay Cool in the Heat
Summer is great, but summer is also hot! Make sure your guests are kept cool and comfortable with some tasty cold drinks. This could mean that you provide an iced down cooler filled with bottles of water, juice, or soda or, you can step up your game and prepare some delicious summertime drinks yourself. A sweet cold drink can make that summertime heat much more pleasant.
Prepare Some Activities
Having activities available is always a good idea at a backyard BBQ. While adults can have plenty of fun just socializing, it’s still fun to have games on hand for them such as horseshoes or cornhole. If you have kids at the BBQ though, activities are a necessity to keep the little ones from getting bored just listening to the adults talk. Some great kids activities for a backyard BBQ include water balloon fights, a slip, and slide, a sprinkler, etc.
Bring on Dessert
Top off your epic backyard BBQ with some delicious dessert, and you will have some delighted guests! Being as though it is a BBQ, We highly recommend grilling up some tasty fruit, like grilled peaches topped with some vanilla ice cream. Or make it easy and serve up some store-bought cookies with ice cream (are we sensing a theme here? Hint..it’s ice cream!).
Keep a Wastebasket Outside
One of the most annoying things about having a party of any kind is the cleanup that comes afterward. The best way We have found to make this chore easier during backyard BBQs is by not only using disposable cookware and dishes, but also by keeping a wastebasket or two outside with you so that your guests can toss their trash in when they are done with it, rather than you having to do it at the end of the night. We keep two outside so that we have one for trash and one for recycling.
Well, my friends, that is it. This is how we keep my backyard BBQ easy and stress-free!
