Beef Burgundy

Ingredients:

1 med. onion, chopped  
1 clove garlic, chopped
3 tbsp. oil  
4 lbs. lean stew meat or sirloin tip
1/2 cup soy sauce
1/2 cup Burgundy wine
2 tbsp. ketchup
2 tbsp. cider vinegar
1/2 tsp. oregano
2 cups hot water

Cooking Instructions:

Saute onion and garlic in 1 tbsp. oil and remove. Saute meat in 2 tbsp. oil and place in pan. Mix balance of ingredients with onion and garlic and pour over top of meat. Bake covered at 350 degrees F for 3 hours.  

Periodically check the sauce and add water if needed.

Serve over rice. Chop green pepper, tomato, and green onion for toppings if desired. Can also be served with sour cream.
