Baked Pie Crust

Ingredients:

1 cup sifted flour 
1/2 tsp. salt
1/3 cup + 1 tbsp. shortening (crisco, spry, etc.)
2 tbsp. water

Cooking Instructions:

In bowl, mix flour and salt. Cut in shortening until shortening particles are the size of giant peas. Sprinkle with water, a tbsp. at a time, mixing lightly with a fork until all the flour is moistened. Press into smooth ball.

Roll out dough on floured board or place between 2 pieces of wax paper. Fit pastry into pie pan and build up fluted edge. Prick dough in pan thoroughly with fork. Bake until golden brown at 475 degrees F. approximately 8-10 minutes.
