handi-foilFrequently Asked Questions

Q: Where can I purchase disposable burner liners and oven liners?
A: Our electric and gas burner liners along with our oven liners are now available through Walter Drake catalogs or on-line at wdrake.com
Q: Do any of your products have lids? These would be good for traveling with food.
A: Yes. Our Cook-n-Carry (pans with lids) product line was designed for carrying food to picnics, holiday dinners, parties, storing leftovers, etc.
Q: Are your products Kosher approved?
A: Yes. Our products have been endorsed as Kosher and bear the OU emblem.
Q: Can I cook and freeze food in aluminum foil containers?
A: Yes. Aluminum foil containers are unaffected by extremes in temperature. They can go from freezer to oven and back to the freezer.
Q: Can aluminum foil containers be used with all foods?
A: Yes. Aluminum foil containers are compatible with all foods and are odor and moisture proof.
Q: When using an aluminum foil pan, what is the best way to remove it from an oven?
A: Handi-foil recommends removing all juices (if applicable) from pan with a baster before removing from oven and always support the bottom of the pan. Failure to do this could cause injury.
Q: Can I buy directly from Handi-foil?
A: No. Due to contract obligations, we are not able to sell directly to consumers. Please check out "Where to Buy" for a list of retailers that carry our products.
Q: Can aluminum foil containers be reused and are they Environment-Friendly?
A: Yes. Aluminum foil containers can be reused many times over, but are designed to be cost effective and time saving in eliminating messy cleanups. They are recyclable.
Q: If I make a custard pie, using your pie pan, do I have to refrigerate it until ready to use?
A: Yes. No matter what type of pie pan you use, foods made with eggs and milk must be refrigerated after baking. Eggs and milk have high protein and moisture content so when left at room temperature, conditions are ripe for bacteria to multiply.
Q: Do foods take longer to cook when using aluminum pans?
A: Cooking times will vary with different ovens. In some cases, the cooking time might be slightly longer. When testing our products, the cooking times were fairly compatible with permanent bakeware.
Q: Are Handi-foil products American made?
A: Yes. They are manufactured in Wheeling, Illinois.
